Hello hello!
I just wanted to write a little something to say that I used Casa de la Felicidad as my home base, while traveling around Peru with my friend. We did not stay very long in Lima, but it was always great to be able to come back to this place, to regroup before setting off again. Ana Maria was very kind, even bringing us into the city center to see the main tourist attractions, and storing some of our stuff that we wouldn't be needing in our travels (souvenirs, etc). The rooms are clean, the beds firm (I like firm), the kitchen fully functional (it even had a blender!), and the living room equipped with TV, DVD player and some DVDs. There's a big grocery store about 10 min walk away, and a safe place to exchange currency also very close by. It's also not very far from the Ormeno and Cruz del Sur bus terminals (about 15 soles taxi ride). Another big plus is that it is very secure.
This place was recommended to me by a friend of a friend who knows Ana Maria personally. I would definitely recommend this place too.

The Casa de la Felicidad was the ideal point of departure for three months of research in the southern districts of Lima. 45 minutes away from the most interesting new neighbourhoods in the south, just 15 minutes away from Lima's richest centre. Right in the middle the peaceful, safe and quiet Surco with its Casa de la Felicidade! I can recommend it. Kevin
